ReadyReturns is a UPS Ready online returns management system for ecommerce stores. It gives consumers a convenient way to process their product return online by revisiting the ecommerce site where they made a purchase. The result is a prepaid UPS return services label that is printable from their computer or mobile device. ReadyReturns shows consumers where a nearby UPS drop-off location is, via Google Maps, and delivers package tracking to the e-retailer as well as the consumer to keep them apprised on the progress of their return.

ReadyReturns automates the e-retailer’s rules for returns to deliver an ideal product return experience to consumers. This may include adding product images from their mobile device, choosing from a predefined list of reasons for return or collecting payment for return shipping in advance of creating the UPS return services shipping label. ReadyReturns gives e-retailers the administrative controls to manage their return services program while providing valuable insight on consumer returns and forecasting return deliveries.

A 2017 study by UPS, “Pulse of the Online Shopper,” finds that a convenient and consumer-friendly returns process is essential to compete in ecommerce. According to the report, “79% of online shoppers rate free shipping on returns as ‘important’ when selecting an online retailer.” The report also finds that “three in four shoppers actually make returns by shipping the items back to the retailer.”

With ReadyReturns in the UPS CTP program, it is now easier than ever for online retailers to implement hassle-free returns to help improve conversions. Qualifying retailers could get ReadyReturns added to their website for up to three years at full or partially subsidized pricing, if they qualify for the UPS CTP.
