The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt – Even More Screenshots & Details

For the past few days a quite large number of screenshots from The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt has been unleashed online. Some of which were released by CD Projekt RED, while some others were shared by other sources. The latest batch of leaked images are relatively low-quality so be sure not to judge the game’s visual fidelity based on these but rather just view them to get a glimpse of what The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt has in store for us. CD Projekt RED will probably not take too long before they release some high quality versions of these.

Gamestar.de, the German publication that recently go the chance to play The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt for 12 hours has revealed some more interesting details for the game. It was mentioned that they only managed to reach level 7, despite the prolonged time they had with the game, something that goes to show the immense potential gameplay time of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt.

The player continued on to say “My two days with Geralt were one of the most beautiful, most exciting and overwhelming experiences I have experienced in my 33 years gaming life”.

They explained that the game will feature four gameplay modes, Easy, Medium, Hard and Dark, which alter the opponents skill. It would appear as though there is no level scaling as the player (who was level 7) was killed in one shot by a level 24 Wyvren.

Fist fighting makes a return but not in the form of QTE’s like in previous installments. The side quests are well made with solid writing. Dialogue choices do not appear to be represented as good or bad, but rather morality based that rests with the player to make. On higher difficulty settings potions become essential but can increase both in number and potency easier than before.

The best items in the game must be crafted are not available through purchase, and any items that are equipped will be visible on Geralt. No Man’s Land and Novigrad are one large gameplay area, said to be “much bigger than Skyrim”. The two huge cities in the Witcher 3: Wild Hunt are Novigrad and Oxenfurt, and both are heavily populated.

The Xbox One version is said to remain at the resolution of 900p and there will be no potential increase. There is more visual gore than The Witcher 2. The game on PC feels much better with the use of a controller. The Ultra settings are said to improve the visual fidelity noticeably.
