Retailers, distributors, and multimedia users across the globe will now have access to the most powerful portable speaker to hit the market.

“It packs up to 30 watts of sound power, yet it still can be charged using micro USB cable so you are not left out should you need to recharge on the go,” said Mark Ataya, CEO of Western Leaf.

Ataya went on to explain that The Vomo NU utilizes two speakers, two base radiators, and one powerful vibration sound unit.

“You can control the unit by simply swiping the surface of the unit,” Ataya pointed out, before adding, “Slide up for volume up, down for volume down and so on.”

The release of Western Leaf Electronics’ Vomo Nu Portable Speaker could prove to have perfect timing.

According to a recent study by the Consumer Electronics Association (CEA), nearly one in five (16 percent) consumers owns a portable wireless speaker.

Currently, one in ten consumers own a wireless multi-room audio product, but nearly half of non-owners (44 percent) indicate interest in owning one.

Portable wireless speakers are also poised for growth, as 28 percent of consumers plan to purchase a related product in the next two years, the study revealed.

Overall, nearly all owners of both wireless multi-room audio products and portable wireless speakers report that they are happy with their products. Additionally, 91 percent of wireless multi-room audio product owners and 85 percent of portable wireless speaker owners would recommend their products to someone else.

Atay noted that with his company’s speakers’ swipe gestures control, users don’t have to look for the buttons to enjoy their music.

“The great thing about it is the fact that it is highly portable, yet the charging is still as micro USB with swipe gesture control,” Ataya stressed.

He went on to add that Western Leaf Electronics will release a modular development kit that allows other companies to build on top of its framework.
